４月１日(水)

今日はBob Hawke College近くのWest Leederville Primary School(小学校)を訪問し、日本語や日本文化を紹介しました。Perth市内の小学校は、３年生から６年生まで、各学校ごとに外国語を１つ選択し学習することになっています。学校によって、また年によって変わるようですが、West Leederville PSでは全員が日本語を学んでいます。屋外の集会施設で大歓迎を受けました。全校生が集合して、児童２人が日本語交えて司会をして、高学年kidsが「世界が一つになるまで」を振り付きで合唱、兵庫生徒「Paprika」を合唱、低学年kidsが「きらきら星」を合唱。続いて兵庫生徒によるプレゼンです。昨日授業で行ったのと同じ内容ですが、小学生に合わせて難しい内容は飛ばし、興味津々のkidsにテンション上げたプレゼンです。素直に何でも反応してくれるkidsたち、とてもcuteです。"Do you know this ～?" "Yeeeeees!!" このresponseはmotivationが上がりました。多くのkidsが質問しようと手を上げます。これほど反応のいいプレゼンはなかなかないでしょう。

今日は学期末の行事的な日で、３時間目はyear5&6、４時間目はYear3&4が事前に用意してきた４つのactivityをrotationで体験しました。折り紙・漢字・福笑い・だるまさんが転んだ。兵庫生徒rotationするたびにimprovementを加えてflexibleに対応していきます。反応のいいkids相手のenergy消費はハンパではありません。kidsの笑顔に癒されながらもヘトヘトです。recessとlunchにkidsの多くの保護者の皆様から差し入れをいただきました。サンドイッチ・ミートパイ・ケーキ・アンザックビスケット・フルーツ他。学校挙げての大イベントに保護者の皆様もとても関心があったとのことです。正直この規模の交流とは考えていませんでした。次回もぜひ来てほしいとお願いされました。とても充実した交流となりました。

BHCに戻ってhost studentを待っていると、授業等で仲良くなった生徒たちが大勢集まって、にぎやかしく話しています。最終日を前にして関係が一気に深まっているようです。

今日はhomestay最後の夜です。お世話になった家族に感謝して楽しい時間を過ごしていることと思います。

Today, we went to West Leederville Primary school (WLPS). First, the primary school students sang Japanese songs. They were so cute. Next, we sang Paprika. We only practiced once, but we did well. We gave a presentation. We had prepared it for three months. I was so happy because everyone looked like they were having fun. I talked about club activities in our school. After that we had a break and we ate some food. That was cooked or prepared  by primary school students' parents. The food was delicious.There were cookies, bread, popcorn, sandwiches, watermelon and so on. We played Japanese games such as Fukuwarai and Darumasanga-koronda and also did activities such as clligraphy. I was in charge of Darumasanga-koronda. It was difficult for me to explain in English. The students were so full of energy that I became a little tired. I heard that all students in WLPS learne Japanese. Every student said “Konnichiwa” “Arigatou” and so on to me. After that, we ate lunch with the students. I also played basketball with some boys.
After we went home. I wrote letters to my host family. We ate Kangaroo sausage and fillet in the courtyard. We ate dinner there on the first day too , but my feeling is different. On the first day I was so nervous but today it was very fun. I was so sad because this time was the last dinner. After dinner, we gave our host family some presents. They gave us some presents too. I felt very happy. Before going to bed, I would like to express my gratitude to my host family for taking care of me these eight days.

3月31日(火)

日本を出発して１週間が経ちました。今日は１日Bob Hawke Collegeでの授業に参加です。

１限Year10(高１)の日本語の授業です。最初の15分ほど4グループに分かれて(兵庫生徒4人、BHC生徒4人)、それぞれが用意してきた日本についてのプレゼンを見てもらいました。日本の伝統文化・日本のPop Culture・兵庫県と神戸市・兵庫高校についての4つです。BHC生徒興味を持って聴いて質問をしていました。その後は日本語英語のmixtureでペアで会話、ほとんど英語だったように思えます。折り紙も教えましたが、逆に鶴の折り方を教えてもらっていた人もいました。

2.3.4限はbuddyの受ける授業に参加。オーストラリアでは2月から新学年が始まり、今週は1学期最後の週で、一部の科目では期末考査が終わったところで、考査のない科目も多かったようです。最終学年のYear12(高3)以外は、いわゆる長期休暇前ののんびりとした授業の期間です。兵庫高校では1学期末考査後は、行事行事ですが、BHCではrelaxした授業でした。ただ、当然普通にnatural speedでの英語なので、支持を理解するのも一苦労です。ALTのようにわかるレベルでは反してくれません。Englishの授業に参加した人、"It was too difficult to understand..." year10のbiology, 「用語が難しすぎて...」、数学の授業に参加した人、year12の内容はさすがにまだ習っていない... buddyとひそひそ話で終わった感じです。これはこれで有意義ですが。

5限はyear9(中3)の日本語。校舎外に出て謎解きのようなactivityです。BHC生徒に結構難しい日本語で指示が出て、さらに難しい日本語の謎解きが...よくcommunicationはできていたようです。

ちなみにオーストラリアの学校のグラウンドはどこも天然芝で、一番人気のスポーツAussie Footballができる広さ(1周450m！！！)のグラウンドがある学校も多いようです。BHCは設立6年目のためか、芝のqualityがとても高かったです。

  Today, I woke up and I helped my host brother and my host mother make my breakfast and my packed lunch. My host family is vegetarian, so I ate avocado on toast for breakfast and fruits and a bagel for lunch. My host mother drove me to school with my host brother.  

  I had a Japanese class with Ms.Sydney and year 10 students in the 1st period. In class, I gave presentation about Japanese culture, history, etc  I participated in a Japanese class with Ms.Yamagauchi and year 10 students. The teacher gave us some questions that made us compete in a group outside the classroom. The question required us to go to different parta of the school, like the gym, the amphitheater or in front of the economy classroom. 
  After school, i went  to play bowling with my host brother and his friends. Australia’s bowling alleys were a bit different from those of Japan,  so It was very exciting. The balls in Japan have a lvariety of choices from different colors, but the one in Perth only had black balls. The bowling alley offered us a voucher which allowed us  to purchase burgers at a big discount. ( hopefully, to be continued )

３月３０日(月)

今日はyear10(高１)の日本語選択生徒35名と一緒に郊外の動物園、Caversham(カバシャム) Wildlife Parkに行きました。独自の生態系を持つオーストラリア固有種の動物を間近で見たり、触ったり、餌をやったり、地元のBHCの生徒もはしゃいでいました。host studentsも含めて日豪12グループに分かれて行動しました。行きのバス内ではBHC生徒には日本語の宿題が出されていました。Farm Showでは勇敢なBHC boyがムチ振りにチャレンジ、他に子ヤギにミルクを飲ませたり、乳しぼり体験をしました。パイソンを触ったり、コアラと写真を撮ったり、カンガルーに餌をやったり。遠足はcommunicationをとって仲を深めるとてもいい機会でした。50人の集団の移動にBHCの先生方も、一般の方に道を空けるよう頻繁に注意するなど、どこの国の学校でも同じような光景も見られました。

Today, I visited Caversham Wildlife Park with my host sister, Amy. I watched a sheep-shearing show, tried milking a cow, and I had a chance to hold a snake. Feeding hungry kangaroos was another highlight. I spent a lot of time with my group members, Bella, Sibera, Nel, and Sugyul, and it made the day truly unforgettable.
At first, I felt nervous because I was the only Japanese student in the group. However, everyone was very kind. My English is not fluent enough, but they listened to me and helped me whenever I felt confused,so I can relax soon.During our break, we had a snack party with Australian treats. We played a game similar to the Japanese game "Word Wolf," which helped us laugh and bond quickly.
By the end of the day, we had exchanged contact information and become close friends. On the bus to school, I had a deep conversation with Nel. We shared our cultures by playing a Japanese hand game, "Alps Ichimanjaku," and an Australian game called "Chopsticks." Also, we talked about our future dreams and promised to meet again when she visits Japan this December.
Today,I felt so much kindness from my new friends and created special memories together in Australia.

３月２９日(日)

今日も終日host familyと過ごしました。サイクロンの影響もなくとてもいい天気です。フリーマントル、ロットネス島、キングスパークなど観光名所に連れて行ってもらった人も多いようです。

Today, I went to Rottnest Island with my host family by ferry. First, we went to Pinky beach to swim. There was a small hill that we could dive from. I cannot swim, so everyone except for me was diving in. They looked like fish. Then we went to another beach called the Basin. This is my first time to go to beach twice a day. There was a lot of fish in the beach.
After swimming, we went to a cafeteria that is famous for great pies.I ate a beef cheese pie. It was delicious. 
After that, I saw many quokkas!! They were very cute.
Then I saw a seal in another hill. I have never seen a seal outside of an aquarium.
It was such a great day.
I slept on the ferry because I was very tired and my host family went to bed at 7:30 pm.
I will go to bed early too for tomorrow????

３月２８日(土)

週末はホストファミリーと過ごしています。

Today, I spent time with my host family. We went to Comic Con that was held in Perth. We wore our own costumes. My costume was Pompompurin, but actually it was a pajama. Many people were dressed up. For example, Demon Slayer, Jujutsukaisen or Spider-Man. They were very cool, so I tried to ask them to be in a photo with me. Then, I bought some souvenirs for my family and myself. I’m happy that Japanese culture is loved by many foreign people. After a while, We felt a little hungry, so we went to a restaurant called DOME. I ate sandwich there, it was delicious. At home, we had BBQ! We ate Australian beef for the first time, it was so good. After dinner, we played Domino.  It is similar to Japanese card game called “Shichinarabe”. It was a little difficult , but very fun. Then, I showed a Japanese traditional toy, kaleidoscope. Tomorrow, we will go to Rottnest Island. I’m really excited to go!

今日は1日Bob Hawke Collegeで授業を受けました。

1限はyear11(高2)の日本語の授業。数グループに分かれてBHCの生徒が校内施設を英語・日本語を交えて案内してくれました。最先端の校舎・設備に圧倒されました。図書館には日本のマンガの英語版が棚3つほどにたくさん並んでいました。その後は日本語のリスニングテスト。長めの日本語の会話を聞いて、内容に関する質問に英語で要約して答えるテストです。BHC生徒はListening、兵庫生徒はWritingで苦労しました。

2限・3限は各buddy(ホスト生徒他attendしてくれる生徒)の授業に参加しました。経済学・哲学・物理などこれはtoughです。

4限はYear10(高1)の日本語です。自己紹介と簡単な質問などを兵庫生徒は英語、BHC生徒は日本語でしました。兵庫生徒にはeasyでしたが、今日の授業の目的の半分はBHC生徒に生の日本語に触れてもらうこと。兵庫生徒全員great teacherとして貢献しました。その後はKahoot!を使ってのオーストラリア、日本についてのクイズが40問くらい。speedとaccuracyを競うクイズですが、オーストラリアでもspeed重視ですね。

5限は別のyear11の日本語。main activityはJeopardy(category別のクイズ)です。英語で答えるのは兵庫生徒、日本語で答えるのはBHC生徒、とてもexcitingです。協力して上位にひっチームはご褒美をもらいました。

1・2限の間は休憩なし、その後recess(30分の休憩、軽食タイム)、3・4限休憩なし、13:30から30分間のlunch time、14:00から5限、放課は14:55。放課後は日本と違って部活動はなく、人によっては校外のクラブチームの練習に参加したり、地元のサークル活動、ビーチに泳ぎに行く人など各自の趣味に使います。

今日はrecessの時間に歓迎会も兼ねてMorning Tea Timeを用意してくれました。vegimite rollの味は日本人にはどうだったでしょうか。井上校長のあいさつの後、giftとして英語版「終末のワルキューレ」を披露して寄贈しました。研修団リーダーのKotoneさんがジョークも交えて原稿なしでSpeech、ウケてくれました。

今日は多くの生徒と交流ができ有意義な1日だったと思います。

終末はあいにくの雨ですが、観光地に連れていく予定のhost familyも多いようです。楽しい時間を過ごしましょう。

Today I went to Bob Hawke College to study. 1st period was Japanese, and some local students showed us around the school. The school was so huge that I almost got lost, but talking with them was so fun. 

After school, my host family made “chicken and rice,” a Singapore dish. There were many kind of sauces and it tasted so good. Then we all watched a Disney movie together. They gave us so many snacks, so I had the best time. It was raining today but I still enjoyed the day a lot.

今日はBHC(Bob Hawke College)が学期末で忙しいため、研修団だけで午前は西オーストラリア大学を訪問しました。神戸大学と留学提携をしており、毎年交換留学で1年間学びに来ている学生がいます。世界大学ランキングでも上位に入るレベルの高い大学の構内を散策し、学生に声をかけるメンバーもいました。午後はパース中心街に移動し、1時間半ほどhang outしてBHCに戻りました。

We went to University of Western Australia(UWA), which is ranked in the top 100 elite schools. It was so big and very beautiful. I talked to a student of the university. She was so kind that she took me around the campus and gave me a college original diary and callender for a souvenir. I love her very much!!
Then, we moved to the central area of Perth. There were many shops including Japanese stores like Uniqlo. I thought there was something similar to Sannomiya in the main street. We bought some souvenirs.We had a great time. 
After we came back to Bob Hawke College, I joined the Japanese club that my host student belongs to. Tthere, I tried to do Japanese listening and vocabulary quizzes using a dictionary. When I saw some students study Japanese hard, I was inspired to study English harder and speak fluently.
After leaving there, I went shopping with my host family. I ate pho noodlesoup and salted caramel and cinamon pretzel as a dessert. That was so sweet and tasted good. Also, we went to a supermarket to buy ingredients for okonomiyaki. I'll cook it tomorrow with my host students.
Throughout the day I talked to many people and I found Australians are very kind and friendly.

今年度から始まった西オーストラリア語学研修の日々の様子を報告します。

３月24日(火)20:00に関西空港に集合し、家族に見送られながらシンガポール経由で、翌3月25日(水)午後にPerthに到着しました。交流する学校は、中高一貫の州立Bob Hawke Collegeです。州知事の名前を冠した優秀な生徒が集まる学校です。10日ほど前にホストファミリーが決まってから、メールで何度もやり取りして、関係を深めてきました。出迎えに来てくれたホストファミリーと対面し、今日からホームステイが始まります。

毎日生徒が日替わりで報告します。

    We arrived in Perth at around 12 a.m. We ate a big hamburger and delicious fried potatoes for lunch at a restaurant.
Then we went to Bob Hawke College to meet host families. After receiving a warm welcome, we went to each host family's house and started homestaying.
    We played board game with my host sister.It was really fun! Also, we went to an acrobat lesson with my host sisters.It was hard but fun,too. After that, my host family drove us to a steak restaurant. It was very delicious and I want to eat it there again.

３月23日（月）、3学期終業式および全校集会をおこないました。

はじめに井上校長が式辞を述べ、「この1年間、さまざまなな場面で皆さんの活躍を見てきました。皆さんは本当にポテンシャルが高く素晴らしい。ルールがない分、自分でどうすべきかを考え、主体的に行動できる力があります」と話しました。さらに、今年のベストセラー『Not To Do List』を紹介し、「この本で最初に挙げられているのは【逃げること】。困難を避け、うまくいかないと他人のせいにして逃げてしまうことが一番よくない。社会には、【逃げてもいい】という風潮もありますが。自分が本当にやりたいことからは簡単に逃げてはいけません」と述べました。続けて、「世の中で活躍するには、困難から逃げずに苦労することが必要です。エヌディビア創始者が、スタンフォード大学の卒業式にOBとして参加し、卒業生に向かって『あなたたちがもっと苦しむことを、僕は祈っています』と語ったように、苦労を乗り越える経験こそが成功につながります。私も皆さんに同じ言葉を伝えたい『もっと苦労してください』。一歩前に出ること、続けること、困難から逃げないこと。これらを身につけることが、皆さんの将来の成功につながります。辛くても続けることが、20年後、30年後に［兵高を出たから今の自分がある］と言える人生につながるはずです」と締めくくりました。

その後、吹奏楽部の演奏による校歌斉唱をおこない、3学期終業式を終了しました。

続いて、全校集会を実施し、書道部・ギターアンサンブル部・ダンス部の表彰伝達をおこないました。

その後、生徒指導部からの講話、生徒会長の話、文化祭実行委員から諸連絡が続きました。

最後に海外武者修行の説明があり、令和７年度3学期終業式および全校集会を終了しました。

2月27日（金）に講堂において第78回卒業証書授与式をおこないました。

78回生行事スライドが上映される中、保護者の方々が入場されました。その後、弦楽部の演奏が始まり、来賓の方々が入場された後に、卒業生が入場し第78回卒業証書授与式が始まりました。

最初に、ピアノの伴奏に合わせ国歌斉唱がおこなわれた後に卒業証書授与がおこなわれました。

次に井上校長が、「今日人生の節目にあたり本校らしく、その校訓四綱領、質素剛健・自重自治をもとに私のはなむけの言葉をおくらせてください。まず質素とは、真に大切なものを見極める力、心の質素を意味します。剛健とは、健やかな身体のみならず、困難や変化に負けないしなやかな心を持つ事です。自重とは、自らの価値を知り誇れる自分を築く事。そのために不断の努力を続けることです。最後に自治、自治は自分の好きなように自分を治める、自由にふるまうことではありません。自治は自由と責任のバランスから生まれるものであり、自由な発想・言葉や行動は、自らの責任の上に成り立つということです。本校は、この四綱領に基づく教育により、様々な領域で国を、時には世界を動かす様々な人材を輩出してきました。多くの先輩方には大変深い母校愛・在校生の皆さんへの熱い想いがあります。本校は四綱領、特に自重自治の精神の下、自ら考え学び選び、それを歩んでいく、育んでいく力を育てる学校、様々な価値観・言葉の異なる考え方の友人と切磋琢磨できる学校であるからだと考えます。最後に58陽会の先輩から伝えて欲しいとお預かりした言葉を贈ります。

『有由有縁』人生に無駄はない。

人の出会いや物事の関わりには、偶然はなく理由があってこの縁を結んでいるという意味を表している言葉です。『有由由縁』この３年間の出会い、ご縁には意味があり、一生皆さんの宝物です。どうか自信をもって未来へと羽ばたいてください。その羽ばたきの中で、挫けそうな時があれば本校に立ち寄ってください。」という式辞を述べられました。

その後、武陽会理事長が、「武陽会は兵庫高校118年の歴史の中で、今年は組織ができてから100周年を迎えます。78回生は、今日から武陽会の113陽会として、私たちと一緒に後輩たちのために尽くすスキームがあります。社会で誇らしく胸を張るだけではなく、謙虚にそしてその献身性をもって後輩のために尽くし、社会に貢献する人材となっていかれることを期待しております。」という祝辞を述べられました。

続いてPTA会長が、「私もこの大好きな兵庫高校の卒業生であります。私の人生の大事な場面において兵庫高校の仲間が、そばにいて支えてくれ何度も救われました。辛い時は、一人で抱え込まず、遠慮なく兵庫高校のつながりを頼って頂ければ良いと思います。失敗を恐れず、これからの人生を楽しく存分に歩まれることを心から望みます。」という祝辞を述べられました。

次に、来賓の方々の紹介と祝詞の披露がおこなわれました。その後、在校生代表が送辞を述べ、卒業生代表が答辞を述べたのちに、記念品贈答がおこなわれました。そして、卒業式歌斉唱、校歌斉唱をし、在校生・保護者の方々・ご来賓の方々・教職員の拍手の中卒業生が退場しました。

最後に、保護者を代表してPTA役員より謝辞をいただき、78回生学年団に花束の贈呈がおこなわれました。その後、第3学年団主任より保護者の皆様にご挨拶をして、第78回卒業証書授与式を終了しました。
