I chatted with the 7th graders today. I was very surprised at how well they all spoke Japanese. Most impressive was that they were communicating actively without fear of making mistakes. Impressed, I spoke with them. During lunch, I approached them and initiated a conversation. We taught each other the good points of our countries and exchanged souvenirs. I am shy, but I think it helped me grow. ln ESL,we played a message game. One person learns sentences about aboriginal history and tells it to my buddy. The other one listens and writes it down. It was difficult for me to explain it accurately. But we worked hard together and I think our bond grow stronger. I climbed Mount Emu. The sky, the plants, the creatures, and everything I saw was beautiful and moving.

On the sixth day, we had ESL and went to Mount Emu to go hiking. At the ESL, we can talk a lot about both country’s culture and Australian students taught me hand play that Australian often do not just with my buddy, but with everyone in the class. It was really fun. At Mt. Emu, I was moved by the beautiful scenery that I had ever seen before. The air was so fresh, and the sky seemed to stretch on forever, I was relaxed. After school, I went to Sunshine Plaza and bought souvenirs for my family, friends, and club members in Japan, and took photos with my host family and friends at a spot with a beautiful night view. It was a very memorable day, and I feel that I learned more about Australia.

Today I went to Coolum State High School and talked a lot with my buddy. However, I couldn’t express what I wanted to say in English well, and she spoke so fast that it was hard to understand, so the conversation didn’t last long, which was frustrating. In the afternoon, I talked a lot with my host family about the school, paces in Japan, and so on.

Today, I met my cute buddy. Her English is fast and difficult. But I was glad that she tried to understand my English. After school, I played with host brothers and sisters. I was happy again because I could have a conversation with them. I and host family ate dinner at a restaurant and went to a dancing festival at night. It was fulfilling day!
