Work experience

1. Independent work experience activities and off-campus career learning.

1st year students themselves choose from a selection of offers from various companies. Through off-campus learning via voluntary work experience activities raise their interest in professional careers and foster a positive attitude towards their futures.

2. 2nd year student internships.

This is designed to encourage students to start thinking about their own futures and goals. Provide them with a realistic framework of what professional career paths are like while simultaneously improving their communication skills with people of various ages and backgrounds.

3. 2nd and 3rd year junior teacher program.

This is a collaboration between high schools and elementary schools, where high school student will conduct lessons for their elementary school counterparts. The aim of this program is to inspire and provide solid hands-on experience for those who wish to become teachers in the future. All lessons are planned and implemented by the students with guidance from their instructors.

4. On-site training.

We aim to foster compassion, kind heartedness as well as a positive outlook towards professional life through
on-site training such as: childcare experience training and medical/nursing experience.

5. Participation in exhibitions at industrial fairs.

Through exhibitions of practical works, test drive events and workshops we aim to deepen connections with local people and improve career consciousness and awareness within our students.

 

INSPIRE HIGH SCHOOL

1. “MC festival” is an annual special course involving our school teachers and outside lecturers with the purpose of
promoting learning outside of the classroom after school. It is an event that holds multiple lectures to help draw a
picture of possible futures and bringing those futures to fruition. Holding these lectures help to reconfirm that
students are learning and moving towards their goals.

 2. “SAMD” is an event in which approximately 40 former students who graduated from Mukonoso comprehensive high
school return and talk with our current 2nd year students about their current lives and careers. We aim to support
the career planning of our current students through these personal human relations and communications as part of
the foundations.

 

Local business contribution

1. Local business activities

 a. Regional disaster prevention cooperation activities

Disaster preparedness education in collaboration with local government, neighborhood associations, local nurseries etc.
To teach students to take initiative during emergencies.

 b. Junior teachers program

Students take on a central role in everything from lesson planning through to the implementation and carrying out of the lesson at local elementary schools. Through this hands-on practical experience students increase their motivation as well as their sense of capabilities, while also fostering a positive attitude.

 c. Puppet show performance

Students of the puppet performance club in collaboration with local circles develop and give performances at local facilities and participate in local puppet theatre festivals. Students participate in planning as well as the performances nurturing their independence and creativity.
