Educatinal goal and emphasis

Educational Goals

・To cultivate students at various stages of learning walking down their path of education to not only mature in their 
    scholar activities but also personally as well.

・To cultivate our students communication abilities, and proactive problem solving abilities to allow them to become
 productive and suitable members of society.

・To educate students in disaster preparedness, exchanges between schools and the local community. Using
 educational activities to foster the spirit of cooperation.

・To promote an open atmosphere to continue good relations with the local area.

・To create an active, and positive educational philosophy in combination with high crisis management, allowing for a
  safe and peaceful educational environment.

Important school management points

・Lessons and hands-on activities strive to give students the ability to think for themselves and cultivate a “zest for life”
 among the students.

・Improve the students’ abilities to analyze and deal with information independently, and a positive attitude towards
 modern society.

・As a member of the Hyogo community we work in conjunction with local communities, school and universities united
 to help students realize their potential career path through carrying out advanced activities, while also building the
 foundations of professionalism and work ethic.

・The exchange program with The Perse School in the United Kingdom aims to build a positive international exchange,
 to prepare students for a more global world and society.

・A feature of both the comprehensive department and the welfare care department is constructing activities that will
 aid students in being helpful in real world society.

・To foster a spirit of togetherness between homes and communities through disaster preparedness education in
 collaboration with Hanshin Prefectural special education branch.

・Regular staff training to continually improve the professionalism of our staff.

・Improving the schools system and enhancing the reputation of the school.

Subject direction and student guidance

1. Subject direction
  a. Establishing a basic foundation of academic skill, and an enhancement of motivation for learning.

   i. By practicing active learning- we strive to improve the teaching method, practice of proficiency-based classes,     tailored to individual ability.
     ii. Creating effective tasks designed to increase students’ motivation towards learning.

  b. The implementation of a new curriculum from 2022
   i. Responding to changes in the educational curriculum guidelines, to continue providing education catered to     various career paths and aptitudes.
     ii. Constantly evaluating our teaching process and continually striving to find new more efficient ways of improving     both learning and motivation.

  c. Raising attitudes towards learning, and motivation. In order to foster a culture that promotes awareness of 
           possible future careers paths and higher education.
   i. Through practical experience learning activities, subject contents become familiar to students thus increasing      motivation to learn.
     ii. Intense focus on problem solving learning to adapt to a rapidly changing society and globalization and          fostering  the acquisition of a wide range of knowledge and adaptive thinking.

  d. Regarding plans for each student have a tablet during lessons in 2022. Teacher training to be able to provide
    constructive, and creative lesson plans in conjunction with student-tablet implementation.

2. Student direction
  a. We pride ourselves in fostering an attitude of self-awareness.


    i. To provide students with a structured discipline guidance throughout their education.
      ii. To foster positive attitude towards life through mental health education.
     iii. To continue the personal development and increasing students understanding of one another.
     iv. To increase student communication abilities, developing their own opinions and learning how to portray them
                  to others while also respecting the views and opinions of others.

  b. Addressing student guidance rules where appropriate in response to the changing society.

  c. Special activities
    i. Deepening cooperation between classes and the student council through action undergone during
       homeroom.
      ii. Active participation of student council in preparation of school events in order to promote leader training and
       student organized activities.
     iii. Increased club activity enrolment and appropriate advice and guidance. Student independence through club
       members taking responsibility being self-sufficiency with minimal appropriate guidance, and club
                  rejuvenation through their actions.

  d. To develop the ability to think and act independently through self-discipline and career guidance to prepare
    students for the revision in law establishing adulthood at 18 years old.

3. Career guidance

  a. In regards to the comprehensive department. The nurturing of students’ ability to recognize their own strengths
   and aptitudes, through their industrial society and people studies.

  b. In regards to the nursing and welfare department. Through comprehensive welfare-related specialized
   knowledge and skills and work experience we aim to develop their attitudes and abilities. As well as their
   willingness to contribute to society.

  c. Promotion of career education and hands-on activities on the basis of future planning and raising awareness of
   potential career paths

  d. Providing each student with individually tailored career guidance meetings, and counseling.

  e. We aim to establish and strengthen the basic academic abilities required for students to achieve their desired
   career goals and or higher education.

4. Human rights education

  a. In order to achieve a society wherein the human rights of all people are respected. We strive to create a school
   culture that respects human rights and fosters a rich and broad-minded awareness of human rights. Through
   welfare education we aim to guide the development of future members of society to promote the creation of a
   society where all are equal and can live peacefully.

  b. Continued training of faculty and staff to enhance their awareness of human rights and understanding of human
   rights education.

5. International understanding education

  a. To foster a respectful attitude and understanding of not only their own Japanese history, traditions and culture,
   but also for other countries. Deepening knowledge and understanding of the history and culture of other
   countries, and nurturing students who can interact with foreigners. To build the foundations of mutual trust and
   respect towards the international community.

  b. Cultivate the ability to communicate with foreigners while deepening understanding and knowledge of local
   customs and cultures from around the world through working in cooperation with ALTs (Assistant Language
   Teachers) or foreigners living in the local area to increase student’s opportunities to communicate with foreign
   nationals.

  c. The promotion of respect for various cultures, traditions and customs and instilling a sense of international
   coexistence.

  d. With the foundational respect for human rights we strive to foster an attitude of recognizing international
   perspectives.

 

School motto

“Independence”
  Students are encouraged to pursue independence and an independent way of life based on
  their own personality and individuality.

  Students are encouraged to respect oneself as well as others and help each other to study.

  Students are encouraged to help each other and togetherness.

  Students are encouraged to create new things in ourselves and in school every day.

 

 

School badge

The three silver arrows each represent a school philosophy “Friendship” ”Creation” ”Hope”

The initials in the center are: “M” from Mukonoso and “C” from comprehensive.

Our school blazers also use the same initials.

The colour of our school flag is navy blue, which in Japanese is katsuiro(勝色) which translates to “winning colour.”The combination of silver and gold conjures an image of calm and sublime feeling.

 

 

School uniform

 From 2020 female student uniform now includes slack trousers.
